Our focus is to help you feel the joy of movement in all your classes whether they be aerial, fitness, or dance. At JVDF, we make fitness art.

Aerial Classes:

  • Aerial Yoga — Yoga with a twist! Hang upside down and maximize your stretching and strength conditioning in our aerial yoga hammocks;
  • Pole — You will learn all the basics including spins, climbs, and even get upside down;
  • Lyra — In this class you will learn a variety of ways to hang, wrap, twist, and mount the lyra, or aerial hoop;
  • Aerial Dance — Utilize your aerial skills in this class combining aerial hammock work with dance!  Learn some movement in the aerial hammock and tie it together in a short choreographed routine to music at the end;
  • Spinning Pole — In this class you will learn more advanced spinning moves and combos;
  • Silks — In this class you will use the fabric to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral your body into and out of various positions. Aerial silks may be used to fly through the air, striking poses and figures while suspended by special fabric;
  • Poleography — Jagged's specialty class!  Improve your musicality, smooth out your transitions, and time your pole skills with precision.  In this class you will have a 30 min. warm up, 30 minute pole session, and 30 minutes to learn choreography to tie together the pole moves you learned with dance.

Fitness Classes:

  • Aerial Conditioning — This is the perfect class for those looking to build strength and cardio endurance in a positive environment, for beginners who want to get into aerial, or a supporting class for those already doing it.  Class includes foundations of circuit training, cross-fit, and weightlifting with a short block of conditioning on actual aerial apparatuses every class;
  • Flexibility — Get in touch with your inner flexuality with this deep stretching class;
  • Hoop Movement — Explore the spiraling motion of the hula hoop all while developing a strong core and a great sense of rhythm!  This class will combine hula hooping skills with dance movement to create a flowing routine and get you sweating at the same time;
  • Stretch and Sculpt — You can expect a fun fast paced cardio warm up, a series of strength training that will burn your legs, abs, and upper body, followed by juicy stretches that incorporate yoga poses and techniques;
  • Sexyfit Cardio is a hour long workout that incorporates dance movements and designed to target your arms, abs, and glutes.

Programs

FlyWheel — This is the experience crafted by Ruth Zukerman, the legendary instructor and driving force behind the New York indoor cycling phenomenon. An experience that lasts 45 or 60 minutes and includes climbs and descents, while working arms with weighted bars. It's an amazing escape that challenges your body and relaxes your mind. Our studios offer stadium-style seating, making every seat in the house a good one. Music is also an integral part of the Flywheel experience. Our playlists are created by instructors from a collection of music carefully curated by our own in-house DJ. FlyBarre — is a total body sculpting class that blends the best of light weight training, dance, and core strengthening exercises. Using small intense interval exercises choreographed to inspiring music, FlyBarre quickly reshapes the body to create lean, strong, and elongated muscle:

  • FlyBarre 60 — This is our classic FlyBarre format, based on high repetition at low weight for 60 minutes. You’ll activate and strengthen small muscles that you didn’t know you had. While the specific moves change often, every class is designed to target the arm, abdominal, thigh and seat regions, with total body stretching during and after class;
  • FlyBarre Sport 60 — Sweat while you sculpt! Both men and women can benefit from the intensity and challenge of this upper body and core focused class. Expect heavier weights, cardio blasts, and music that pushes your inner athlete to the limit;

Some Class Description:

  • Melt — An hour long high-intensity weight training class that will not only help you build stronger muscles and joints, but will keep your heart rate up and let you melt that fat away;

International fitness guru Sebastien Lagree has developed his own version of the traditional Pilates reformer called The ProFormer™ Cardio + Strength + Flexibility and also the MegaFormer™. This newly enhanced reformer empowers Lagree Fitnessto create the perfect body.

Lagree Fitness attacks excess bulk in the hips and thighs and tightens the body’s core muscles for abs of steel. The intense 40 or 55-minute training sessions, which combine Pilates with strength training, achieve visible muscle definition significantly faster than Pilates or any other kind of Pilates-based workout.

Lagree Fitness is based on the fact that people don’t need more exercise time to get fit, they just need more intensity. The body responds more to intensity than it does to the duration of a workout.

Former advocates of hard-core yoga (like the Ashtanga style Madonna swears by) have achieved a lithe, toned body significantly faster with this unique circuit-training program.   • MegaBurn+ — The MegaBurn + class is an advanced class designed to take experienced PPLA clients to their fullest potential. We require that you have been taking classes in our studios for a minimum of 6 months and have no injuries. One-on-one Training — We offer one-on-one training sessions, built around the idea that a great workout begins from knowing the human body; then designing ways to make it brighter, leaner, happier, stronger and healthier. We work with you to create, re-create and return the flexibility, posture and strength to your body:

  • Whole Body Method Pilates — Practicing Pilates with the Whole Body Method is more than just a workout. It's creating a better body and health through awareness, postural alignment and spinal flexibility. It's not merely a collection of exercises, but a carefully developed method refined over a period of sixty years;
  • Whole Body Gyrotonic — The Gyrotonic Method uses specialized equipment to take your body into gentle spiraling and twisting movements that we believe you will absolutely love. The movements contain similar elements to those found in yoga. As a perfect complement to Pilates, Gyrotonics is holistic in nature, linking the breath, mind and emotions. It promotes a tremendous sense of well-being, delivering increased energy, greater mind-body awareness, long, lean muscles, improved posture and a strong core. The Gyrotonic Method consists of low-impact exercises that are highly beneficial for the elderly, pre and post-natal women and those recovering from injuries.

Group Classes:

  • Beginner Pilates (Level 1-2) — This class is focused on practicing and connecting with the foundational classical Pilates movements. Focus is on posture awareness, core strengthening and breath;
  • Beginner/Intermediate Pilates (Level 1-3) — This class is the perfect bridge between your beginner and intermediate Pilates workouts. You will discover new exercises to build from the basics, as you deepen your internal strength, spinal flexibility and body awareness;

  • Pilates & X-Training (All Levels) — Our signature class combines 30 minutes of classical Pilates with 30 minutes of fitness training using trampolines, resistance bands and balls. It's a unique X-training experience that works you from inside to out;
  • Pilates TRX (All Levels) — We combine the popular TRX training system which uses your own body weight as resistance with classical Pilates, for one very effective whole body workout;
  • Classical Pilates MIX (Level 2-4) — We'll mix the Classical Reformer Pilates routine with exercises on the Wunda Chair, Pilates Mat and Magic Circle .   • Pilates Palooza (Level 3-5) — Our Pilates Palooza is an exercise-fest of Classical Pilates using Barrels, Cadillac, Wunda chair and anything else that is not bolted to the floor;
  • Pilates Trampoline (All Levels) — You'll get a total body workout by combining the classical refomer with the rebound-air trampoline. It's fun, fat-burning and core strengthening;
