The SRC offers a variety of open recreation activities. Members can participate in basketball, racquetball, fitness training, jogging/walking, recreational and lap swimming, table tennis, boxing and rock wall bouldering during operational hours of the SRC. The schedule for activities that require additional equipment and staffing such as badminton, rock wall climbing, volleyball, indoor soccer, floor hockey and boxing can be viewed below. Please note all open recreation activities are subject to change and special event scheduling.
Strength and conditioning is the great transformer in the modern game. The dilemma facing athletes and their parents, however, is finding a reliable experienced program that will provide the most effective training that enhances explosiveness, body awareness, durability and anaerobic endurance. Hall of Fame coach Bob Takano of Takano Athletics has been developing these aspects for volleyball for over 22 years. 18 of his athletes have earned Division 1 scholarships.
