A Bouldering Only gym in the Art's District of Los Angeles. We opened in late 2013 and are the largest bouldering gym in LA.

LA.B is the second largest bouldering Touchstone gym. We offer incredible climbing terrain along with a variety of fitness options. You will find hundreds of boulder problems adorning slab walls, steep overhangs, dihedrals and corners.

We have over 14,000 sq ft of bouldering terrain, along with yoga, fitness, weights, and training.

Kids Climbing Classes & Programs:

  • Intermediate Team (Climbing Team) — The intermediate team is designed to provide a challenging training environment for climbers who want to become more serious about the sport. This team focuses on technique, strength, and strategy development while still providing a fun, social climbing experience. Climbers on this team have the option of attending competitions with the competitive team in order to see if competition climbing is right for them. Climbers from the intermediate team can eventually join the competitive team (by invitation) when they have demonstrated the requisite technical proficiency and level of commitment;
  • Summer Camp (Ages: 6 to 12) — Sign up for five days of climbing, with three hours of instruction daily. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced level climbers are welcome. Each week-long session includes vertical twister, rope climbing, slack lining, scavenger hunts, technique instruction, and other fun climbing-related games and activities;
  • Birthday Party — Do you have a kid whose favorite past time is climbing all over your expensive furniture? Get them out of your house and on our walls with a climbing party! Our staff provide basic instruction and climbing gear for all party participants. The kids will climb, play games, and be the little monkeys they were born to be.

Adult Climbing Classes & Programs:

  • Intro to Bouldering Class — In this class you will get a great overview of safety practices, the layout of the gym, bouldering etiquette and basic technique! This class is free to members and included in the day pass for non-members. Be sure to show up at least 15 minutes before the class starts. Class is usually 30 minutes long but it can sometimes run longer;
  • Get on Track — For those stuck in a rut or looking to accomplish a specific goal in your climbing, look no further! Explore how these tracks can help you become a better boulderer or get you ready for outdoor climbing;
  • Improve Your Bouldering — For people who love solving puzzles, powerful moves and carrying minimal gear, the bouldering track is for you. Check out what is in store and get your skills fine-tuned for the upcoming bouldering season;
  • Learn to Climb Outside — California offers some of the best outdoor rock climbing available. The clinics offered in this track will prepare people of all skill and experience levels for bouldering, sport climbing and traditional multi-pitch climbing outside;
  • Private Lesson — Let us help you crush your V5 project, or just get up a V0 gracefully.

Classes:

  • Fitness Clinics (Shoulder Opening): Bouldering develops super strength in the shoulders, back, and upper arms, but usually at the expense of flexibility, alighnment, and freedom of movement. Reconnect to your body’s proper alignment through learning different yoga techniques and poses that can be used as healing therapy for shoulder pain and support for your cross-training;
  • Fitness Clinics (Charity Water) — Help us provide relief to Nepal (via Charity Water) by purchasing a spot in one of our many all-day yoga classes! The two upper tiers of participation come with thank-you gifts! Register ahead of time online. 100% of proceeds go to Chairty Water;
  • ABdomination is a 30-min session focused on building all over core strength. This class will light your core on fire in a unique and fun way that reaches far beyond the standard crunch and is sure to improve your climbing;
  • Buns&Guns is 30-min high-intensity class focusing on building power and strength through interval training including anything from climbing to relay races to weight lifting and everything in between;
  • Bouldering Bootcamp — This hour-long class was created specifically for climbers. Not only will it improve your bouldering, it will bring you to a new level of strength, metabolic conditioning, and improve your movement skills such as handstands and pistols;
  • TRX.

Instructors:

  • John — 10 years of experience as a Personal Trainer, his certifications include National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association (NESTA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), TRX, and CPR/AED;
  • Darian — She is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor who has been coaching since 2010. Her programming contains a unique blend of exercise styles, with classes pulling movements from gymnastics and natural movements like crawling, as well as barbell training and High Intensity Interval Training.

Classes:

  • Acro Yoga — In this class, you will get practice as both the “base” and “flyer” to master therapeutic and acrobatic poses in tandem with a partner;
  • Vinyasa Yoga — A breath-led Vinyasa flow, focusing on strength, flexibility and alignment;
  • Hatha Yoga — This Classical Hatha class is centered around a sequence from the Sri Sivananda lineage of yoga, which features pranayama (breathing exercises), asana (postures), bandha (energy locks), and meditation;
  • Anusara Yoga — This Yoga-for-Climbers Anusara flow will provide a new sequence of poses each week that will help strengthen the body in areas that demand attention while climbing.

  • Sam — Sam has been practicing yoga for 12 years, teaching since 2010, and has 2 teacher trainings under her belt;
  • Jeannie — Jeannie completed her 200 hr RYT certification at The White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara with Ganga White and Tracey Rich;
  • Jasmin — Jasmin has been doing Yoga for 7 years and teaching Yoga techniques for 6. She did her first 200hr teacher training with Yoga to the People in New York City, cementing her love for Power Vinyasa and Traditional Hot Yoga. She completed another 200hr training with Srivatsa Ramaswami in Krisnamacarya’s Vinyasa Krama lineage in 20014, and is currently a student in Loyola Marymount University’s Masters in Yoga Studies program.
  • Casey — ERYT 200 and RYT 500 Yoga Alliance certifications under the tutelage of Sigrid Matthews, Noah Maze, and Matt Schwartz. Along the way, she discovered AcroYoga and Thai massage in 2012, which blew the lid off of her already delighted mind, body, and spirit. She dove deeper, garnering both Level 1 and 2 certifions from AcroYoga.org, and taking multiple Thai Massage trainings;
  • Sonia — Since 2007, Yoga and AcroYoga have shaped Her life in many ways;
  • Allen — Allen is a certified AcroYoga Fit Instructor from Shadow Hills CA;
  • Audrey — Audrey did her 200hr teacher training in Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda, she started teaching right away and went back for her 300hr in Vinyasa Flow a few years later. She then branched off and is also a certified Yoga Tune-Up, Yin Yoga, Kids Yoga, Sculptworks teacher, Spinning Instructor and AcroYogaFit trainer;
