Owner — Brook Lyn Burnett is a certified Pilates instructor and graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. Brook Lyn earned her comprehensive certification in Pilates through Body Arts and Science International after discovering its powerful impact on her posture, corestability and body awareness. Originally from Brawley, California, Brook Lyn has always been an athlete and avid runner. While working at a private health club in college she was introduced to the work of Joseph Pilates and it has been her passion ever since. After practicing Pilates for more than 8 years, Brook Lyn opened FrameWork Pilates and Conditioning.

Classes:

  • Group Reformer — A full body Pilates reformer class focused on strength and alignment through the use of the apparatus;
  • Mixed Equipment — Utilizes a variety of Pilates equipment including the Reformer, jumpboard and mat for a full body workout;
  • Jumpboard — This class combines Pilates Reformer technique with jumpboard intervals, which increases the heart rate and strengthens entire body without being aggressive on the joints;
  • Mat Pilates — A mixed level class focused on strength, precision and flow of movement. Students will learn to be aware of breath patterns and spinal alignment while engaging deep core muscles.

BASI Pilates Teacher Training Course — designed and developed by Rael Isacowitz M.A., founder and director of BASI, this program is unique in integrating both the art and science of human movement with a contemporary approach to the work of Joseph Pilates.

Instructors:

  • Felicia 'Fo' Porter — Fo recently completed her comprehensive Pilates certification through Body Arts and Science International, and is the newest member of the Framework Pilates family;
  • Sarah White is a BASI (Body Arts and Sciences International) Pilates Instructor. She holds a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in Dance from California State University, Long Beach. During college, Sarah realized the power of Pilates and what a wonderful tool it is for improving not only dance technique, but also fitness, balance, posture, core strength, and overall health. Sarah is an aspiring professional dancer in Los Angeles.
