Roda — The Roda is ultimate expression of everything that is capoeira. The game of capoeira happens here. It is joy, an escape, a home, a world unto itself, and many refer to it as a microcosm of life. This is why a capoeirista physically trains in class day in and day out. This is why we practice the music day in and day out;

Head teacher — Instrutor Tizoc Guerrero was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. He was born into a musical and artistic family, and began practicing music at the age of 3. Tizoc’s mother was born in Recife, Brazil, but Tizoc rarely traveled to Brazil and was disconnected from half of his culture and family. At the age of 11 he discovered Capoeira. Capoeira became Tizoc’s way to connect to his Brazilian roots, satisfy his interest in martial arts, and utilize his years of musical practice Through Capoeira, Tizoc has traveled back to Brazil on many occasions, and regularly visits many cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
