CrossFit at Cave CrossFit Cave CrossFit 2 Photo

After your trial week, you can continue with our 3-class series of beginning CrossFit classes called Elements which will get you ready to join our mixed level CrossFit classes and specialty classes or you can register for an exclusive Cave Cardio only membership.

Programs:

  • Cave CrossFit — This co-ed class is for members of all levels of CrossFit. Whether you just finished your elements or are a fire-breather, this class is for you! A normal CrossFit class consists of a dynamic warm-up, learning technique, strength work or working on a skill, followed by a workout and cool down session. All athletes must have taken Elements before entering this class;
  • Cave Cardio — Cave Cardio is a great program for those looking to increase their metabolic conditioning. This is a great class to enhance CrossFit classes or can be used as a stand-alone class for those looking to get in a non-stop, hour of conditioning training. Cave Cardio-only memberships are available without taking Element classes;
  • Cave Elements (Required for CrossFit/Specialty Classes only) — To get started in our CrossFit Program you must first complete Elements. At Cave CrossFit, we not only want to make sure that you get the safest, most effective workout, but that you're part of the Cave CrossFit Community before you start your first group class. Coached by a Cave CrossFit trainer and delivered in small group sessions. After completing the three Elements classes you can sign up for any of our programs below;
  • Cave Competitor — This is the perfect class for athletes who are looking to become more efficient in their WODs and learn technique and skills to increase strength, speed and power in both gymnastic and barbell cycling;
  • Cave Metcon — Metcon is similar to a CrossFit class but without the barbell. You will be going over technique and advancing your skill on all the body weight movements, and those involving medicine balls, kettle bells, box jumps, rowing and dumbbells. The class is designed to help you become more efficient and fast when performing these movements. Cave Metcon usually has two workouts with a 3-5 minute break in between, and we modify the class so that everyone can participate and practice proper technique while getting a great workout;
  • Cave AB Lab — This 30-minute sweat session combines functional movements into explosive Tabata intervals and combine training to help shred and build your core. No equipment, no machines, no gimmicks.

Crossfit at DEUCE Gym DEUCE Gym 2 Photo

*General Physical Preparedness (GPP).

Programs:

  • The DEUCE Coach’s Prep Course is designed with two basic elements in mind: 1) Teach participants how to become good, solid CrossFit instructors; 2) Keep the rules and requirements to a minimum so that the program maintains an air of fun, lightness, growth, camaraderie, and learning. We have designed the program to be completed in as little as four months and as long as twenty-four months;
  • DEUCE Gymnastics explores mastering movement of one’s own body through space. This specialty course works on a drop-in basis, so you can take advantage of this program whether or not you’re stopping by once or you plan on doing gymnastics weekly. Expect to learn to tumble, press and pull your bodyweight, and transfer power;
  • DEUCE Weigtlifting — Whether you are interested in getting involved in the sport of Olympic weightlifting, becoming a better athlete or CrossFitter, or just simply wanting to move better, this class is for you. The priority here is learning how to properly and efficiently learn and improve your snatch and clean & jerk;
  • Strongman 101 — 3This 8-week long course is an introduction to the discipline of the sport of Strongman. This is old school, folks. Think kegs, yokes, tires, atlas stones, chains, and a whole lot of fun. Poorly named, “Strongman” isn’t just for men, nor is it just for the strongest people out there. This program, like our GPP, program is fully scalable;
  • Strongman 202 is an advanced status course that extends beyond our 8-week Strongman 101 course. Strongman 202 is a more affordable, more inclusive evolution for those that have graduated from the Strongman 101 program;
  • Strength 101 holds at its core proficiency of the Squat, Deadlift, and Press. This 8 week program will begin with testing of the 3 major lifts, and for the duration will continue with a specific progression with specific focus. Once the 8 week cycle begins, prospective athletes must enroll in the next cycle;
  • Strength 202 is an advanced course made available to those that have completed Strength 101. Strength 202 is more inclusive and autonomous than 101.

CrossFit at CrossFit 323 CrossFit 323 1 Photo

Class Schedule Key:

  • WOD — Regular "Workout of the Day";
  • Open Gym — work on form, catch up on WODs, practice lifts, etc.;
  • Fight Gone Right — Muay Thai;
  • Weekend WOD — Often Team-Based workout;
  • Super WOD — 90-minuute Classic CrossFit WOD.

Programs:

  • Getting Started — We require all new members with less than extensive CrossFit experience to take part in our “On-Ramp” program, either in small groups or individually. During On-Ramp, new 323ers learn the basic movements that make up most WODs, how to execute them with ideal form and safety, and why they are intrinsic to fitness progress and performance. Each session builds on what you’ve already learned, so On-Ramps #1-6 must be done in chronological order and all six classes are mandatory. Then, upon completion of the course, new members can jump into regular classes with fresh familiarity and increased confidence;
  • Small Group On-Ramp — CrossFit newcomers benefit from a trainer’s close attention and guidance, as well as meeting other rookies on the same path, inevitably from varied fitness backgrounds. The program cost is included within your first month’s membership;
  • Private On-Ramp — Covering the same material, ourPrivate On-Ramp Package includes 6 one-on-one personal training sessions to be scheduled between you and one of our trainers. After completion of the course, On-Rampers can either continue with private sessions or become an unlimited monthly member and start attending regular classes with the greater community.

Instructors:

  • Darian Healy — is an ACE-certified personal trainer, MovNat instructor, and a CrossFit Level 1 trainer with supplementary CrossFit Kids and Olympic Lifting certifications. Integral to Team 323 from the beginning, Darian co-designed the On-Ramp Intro Course curriculum with Cullen, and has her own MovNat ‘Panther-Ninja!” body weight movement class on Saturday mornings at 8AM;
  • Kyle McBride — as an experienced CrossFit-certified instructor and trainer, Kyle is particularly passionate about maximizing mobility, spotting and correcting harmful physical habits, rehabbing injuries, and tailoring programming to benefit the Over 50 set in his “Fitness for Longevity” classes;
  • Abraham Rodriguez;
  • Jimmy Menjivar.
