Instructors:

  • Simo Dasha Libin Anderson — is a fitness expert, author, fitness writer, full time martial artist, world traveler, and eternal student. She is the creator of the Kettlebell Kickboxing™ fitness brand. With over a decade of training in Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do (JKD), Filipino Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Dasha was featured as Black Belt Magazine’s only female 21st Century Martial Artist. Dasha is currently an apprentice level instructor under the legendary Guro Dan Inosanto. Dasha has a Master’s Degree in Sports Science, with a specialty in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention (MS). Additionally, Dasha is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine with their master level (NASM-PES) credentials. She is also a certified Speed and Explosion Specialist (NASE-SES) with the National Association of Speed and Explosion. Additionally Dasha is a certified instructor in Kettle bells and Indian Clubs under “American Father of the Russian Kettlebells & Fitness” Steve Maxwell (MKC-2);
  • Courtney (Colo) Taskowitz — Colo is the account and memberships manager at Anderson’s Martial Arts Academy, and has been training at AMAA since 2010. Colo is a certified NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist, Personal Trainer, and Kettlebell Kickboxing™ KBIA-I instructor. Colo has a Masters degree in Sports Science-Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from California University of Pennsylvania; Bachelors degree in Modern Languages including Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, from Pace University, NYC.

Gerry has competed as an amateur Thai Boxer, winning the title of Champion for the Northeast region. He is certified as an MMA strength and conditioning coach by the National College of Exercise Professionals, and holds a certification as a Fitness Instructor from the NYU School of Continuing Education.
