Appointments:

  • Private Sessions: We recommend Private Sessions for the Pilates Beginner. We are available for one-on-one sessions 7 days a week. These sessions are the most ideal for people who want to advance their Pilates Training, or if they have any physical limitations or injuries that would prohibit their ability to join a group.
  • Shared Sessions: Shared Sessions are 2 to 3 people in the class. This is a great way to share the cost of Pilates. Bring a friend, or inquire at the desk about joining a number of existing sessions already on the schedule.

Classes (all classes are up to 7 people in the class):

  1. Group Reformer Classes: The Group Reformer Class utilizes spring-controlled resistance to build core strength, increase flexibility, endurance and coordination. The result is a strong, yet flexible, well-toned body, without muscle bulk. Group Reformer Classes are up to seven people in the class. All levels are welcome;
  2. Jumpboard Classes: Super charge your workout with this cardio-jumpboard class on the Reformer. Reap the benefits of a cardio-based workout while doing Pilates lying down! This is an intermediate/advanced class! Requires a pre-requisite of 10 group reformer classes or instructor approval. Book a Jumpboard Class;
  3. Pre-Post Natal Pilates: Prior experience required before joining a group class. Private Sessions are recommended. Lynne DeMarco, the owner, is certified in Pre-Post Natal Pilates. All other instructors are certified and/or experienced working with pregnant clients, and are able to modify the workout appropriately for the pregnant client. Pilates is great for pregnancy, before and after your birth. Pilates develops your overall muscle strength and flexibility. It helps you to relax and teaches you to breathe deeply; skills that will help you before, during, and after delivery. By doing Pilates when your pregnant you will increase circulation to the fetus, as well as strengthening the muscles needed to give birth.
  4. Barre Classes:
  • Barre-Combo A unique blend of Modern Barre, Pilates Reformer, Mat Work and other Small Equipment. This class incorporates intense Abdominal and Gluteal work both at the Barre and on the Mat. Pilates at The Pilates Bodyshop The Pilates Bodyshop 1 Photo 1 Video

Fletcher Pilates® is the complete body of work developed by first generation teacher Ron Fletcher, who was taught directly by Joseph and Clara Pilates and was one of the few “elders” in the Pilates world. It contains the original Pilates Method taught to him by Joseph and Clara, but also includes Ron’s contributions to the work. An emphasis on rhythm, flow, and the breath linking all movements together makes Fletcher Pilates® a continuous and challenging movement experience. Ron Fletcher passed away in 2011 at age 90 but his legacy lives on in all of us.

The Ron Fletcher Program of Study® is the most definitive, professional Pilates teacher training program of its kind and the only program endorsed by Pilates Master Ron Fletcher. The Pilates Bodyshop in Los Angeles is one of only a few Fletcher Studios worldwide, and the only educational campus in Southern California where you can enroll in Fletcher Pilates® Teacher Training and other Continuing Education courses. You’ll learn from Kerri Campbell, a highly sought after Fletcher Pilates® Faculty member, who was taught by Ron Fletcher himself as well as assorted Faculty members from the Tucson campus, Deborah Mendoza, Kyria Sabin, and Martha Ramirez.

The Pilates Bodyshop offers Private Lessons, 4x4 (group apparatus lessons), Duet Lessons, and Studio Classes.

Pilates Classes:

  • Introductory Class (Recommended for all new clients) — In order to introduce you to our approach to pilates we offer you a free introductory class. In this class you will learn about the reformer and its mechanics as well as beginner pilates exercises on the reformer;
  • Level 1 — This Class focuses on beginner to intermediate exercises on the pilates reformer and mat. This class is challenging and intense but at a slower pace to keep the focus on form. Once you are familiar and accomplished with the Level 1 class you may ask to move to the next level. Most new clients remain in this class for at least few months until they are ready to progress;
  • Level 2 — This class focuses on intermediate to advanced exercises on the pilates reformer and mat. This class moves at a quicker pace, keeping your heart rate elevated. Exercise complexity and variety increases;
  • Private Sessions — The paradigm of the doctor or health practitioner as a monarch is outdated. Progressive medical doctors and holistic practitioners encourage and empowerpatients to take responsibility and become part of their own path to a healthier life. This is also the philosophy at Mind & Motion;
  • Prenatal Pilates — The class is suited for those in their 2nd and 3rd trimester. All exercises are designed to keep your trunk and pelvic floor muscles strong. We also focus on upper body strength so that you can properly lift and carry your newborn postpartum.

  • Lindsay Rivera — Lindsay graduated from The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO in 2004, and in 2010 completed their Masters Program. • Nicole Watkins — Nicole discovered the joy of movement and a love of mind-body connection initially through her training as a dancer and eventually through her practice in Pilates.
