We offer our free Intro class three days a week for your convenience. An Intro class is required, even if you’ve previously done CrossFit. During the class, we’ll go over CrossFit basics and get you going on your first Workout of the Day (WOD).

Programs:

  • CrossFit is a comprehensive fitness program that focuses on ten facets of conditioning: cardiovascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination agility, balance and accuracy. The workouts vary daily, called a WOD, or workout of the day, and utilize bodyweight exercises, Olympic-style weight lifting, plyometrics, kettle bells, strength training and cardio;
  • Power Training classes focus on the development of muscle through a combination of power-lifting and body-building exercises. Our power training classes have been specifically programmed to promote development in all major muscle groups, with focuses on the lower body, core and upper body;

Programs:

  • Attend our Introduction to CrossFit course or conduct Personal Training sessions with one of our coaches to become familiar with CrossFit movements and terminology. CrossFit is incredibly technical, it’s like learning an entirely new sport, so the same way you wouldn’t throw someone off the street onto the Varsity swimming team, we don’t throw people who have never done clean and jerks and snatches, pull ups or rope climbs right into the fast paced regular group classes. Instead, we take the time to properly teach you the movements so you’re confident and safe in your abilities by the time you begin regular group classes;
  • Our CrossFit classes are one-hour in length and consist of a warm up, strength and skill portion work, and the Workout of the Day (WOD);
  • Iron Battalion CrossFit Kids “Little Champs,” “Champs,” and “Teens” programs create superstars out of your children. Our classes include elements of gymnastics, weight lifting, body weight movements, running, jump roping, and more;
  • Olympic Weightlifting — This is a one-hour class that focuses primarily on improving technical execution and increased performance of the snatch, clean & jerk and related lifts. Only Olympic and auxiliary lifts will be practiced at this time. This means there will not be gymnastics, etc.

  • Fundamentals — Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to Angelino CrossFit is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups and exercises before participating in regular Angelino CrossFit classes. Fundamentals classes are kept to very small sizes to ensure one-on-one attention. As you work through the six consecutive sessions you and your fellow newcomers will learn about the correct form for basic, functional CrossFit movements, and slowly work up to increase your level of intensity. Fundamentals is the perfect place to ask questions and make some new friends before transitioning into our regular classes;
  • Test-Out — If you are already familiar with CrossFit methodologies and have trained in another certified location, you may be eligible for Angelino CrossFit’s Test-Out option. We offer a one-hour private session with our trainers to review your fitness level and knowledge of CrossFit. If you are able to demonstrate competency in CrossFit movements, you may wish to consider this Test-Out opportunity.

Programs for Group Training:

  • Semi-Private Training — With semi-private training, clients are grouped into classes of up to six participants. Each trainee starts with in-depth instruction for the foundational barbell exercises and is then placed on a customized strength training program to suit their individual goals. Every session is conducted under the watchful eye of an experienced coach who is there to guide, correct and motivate. The small class size ensures that each trainee gets the attention and real-time feedback they need to maximize their progress in the gym and get the best possible return on their training investment;
  • Barbell Club Open Gym — Once a trainee has worked with a staff coach and has demonstrated proficiency in the basic barbell lifts, they will be eligible to join our barbell club sessions and begin taking ownership of their training. Each client will be given a customized, regularly-updated training program designed to help them reach their individual goals. A qualified staff coach will be available during barbell club sessions to provide ongoing support and help clients navigate the ups and downs of their training program.

Programs for Private Training:

  • Intro To Barbell Training (the starting strenght metod) — In this two-hour private clinic, you’ll learn to properly and safely perform the basic barbell lifts that form the foundation of the Starting Strength program. We’ll show you how to warm up, how to choose your appropriate starting weights, and how to arrange the exercises into a productive training program that will produce incredible increases in strength and performance. We’ll also cover basic nutrition guidelines and equipment recommendations so you’ll have all the tools you need to train effectively on your own;
  • Technique Check-Up — If you’re familiar with the basic barbell lifts but are struggling with proper form, frequent resets or nagging injuries, our Technique Check-Up sessions are an affordable way to get you in front of a qualified coach and back on the path to progress. During this 90-minute one-on-one session, you'll have up to three lifts evaluated and corrected in real time by a certified Starting Strength coach. You'll also have the opportunity to discuss strategies for optimizing your programming, diet, conditioning or any other important aspect of your training.

We offer climbing workouts for the high level experienced climber or someone who has just learned to put on a harness. You’ll be welcomed into our most inviting attribute, the Boulderdash community.

Kids Programs:

  • Of the Deck — If your aspiring rock climber has scaled the walls at a fair, a birthday party or has no experience climbing at all, our kids classes are a great place to improve your child’s climbing skills. Pick the day that works best for you;
  • Team Boulderdash SFV — For those children (ages 6-18), that have found what they have been looking for: We present Team Boulderdash SFV. The training consists of two intense 3-hour sessions a week. Kids love this exceptionally focused and supportive environment and the program is open to anyone willing to do the hard work it takes to excel in climbing;
  • Climb Time — If you or your kids are looking to drop by and start climbing the walls, come on by and experience Boulderdash’s “Climb Time”! We will provide an experienced instructor who will belay and supervise all enrolled climbers. All equipment is included. Adults are welcome to stay and climb or drop off their climbers;
  • Private Instruction.

Adult Programs:

  • Up Rope — welcomes new climbers to Boulderdash and teaches them the necessary skills to enjoy the wide range of challenges we present. Up Rope will teach you how to “belay,” and “tie into” a climbing rope. Up Rope is a two-hour class that begins in the classroom and then moves out into the main climbing area. Space is limited. Must be 13 or older;
  • The Sharp End is a class designed for the climber who is not satisfied with the limitations of top roping. This course will teach the subtleties that are required for advanced rock climbing. Our instructors will introduce techniques that will help you conquer some of the challenges that we all face. Held on the last Friday of the month. Space is limited. Minimum 2 participants. Should be solid 5.10 climber;
  • Private Instruction.

Additional Programs:

  • Kids Climbing Camp — For kids 6-12 years of age who enjoy climbing or for those who have never rock climbed before. Boulderdash SFV offers one of the best and most unique kids camp in Los Angeles county. With its incredible facility and teaching staff, we attract young climbers of all abilities. Our climbing camp give climbers a chance to learn about rock climbing, meet new people, and most importantly, have fun. Some of our objectives are problem solving, making good decisions, be team players, learn respect for others, enjoy physical recreation and do something good for their growing bodies! All equipment is included;
  • Parties — Plan your next birthday party (usually ages 6 to adult), club meeting or special event with us in a new and exciting environment. All participants must have our waiver completely filled out. If participant in under the age of 18, only their parent may fill out the youth waiver on their behalf.

The Orangetheory Fitness training session is comprised of three components: treadmill interval training blocks, indoor rowing and weight room or resistance training blocks. These Orange 60 sessions are open to all adults and teens, ages 16 and older. All fitness levels are welcome as our program is specifically designed for everyone from power walkers to elite performance athletes.
