Group Reformer Classes:
Private Classes — We carefully design a personalized Pilates routine based on a Health and Fitness Evaluation conducted at the initial session. Working one-on-one with the same instructor each week, your routine is updated and varied as your fitness needs change. Many of our clients build strong rapport with their trainers and find the supportive relationship invaluable in achieving their goals. Private sessions are 55 minutes in length and made by appointment.
Duo Sessions — You exercise side by side with a partner. Though your session is shared, your routine is tailored to your needs and you are given individualized attention. Either you bring your own partner or, in some cases, we are able to partner up clients. Duos are 55 minutes in length and scheduled by appointment.

Jason Goldberg — Jason is a native of West Hollywood and has always been a healer. Due to his sedentary desk job, he was inspired to take Pilates. It not only changed his body but his life, having left corporate America in 2014 to begin Pilates training. Jason is Polestar Certified, classic Pilates trained, with a special focus on rehabilitation and healing the body through movement;
Tomono McNamara — Tomono discovered Pilates in 2008 after relocating to Los Angeles from Japan. Previously, she worked as a fitness and dance instructor for close to a decade in Japan. She received comprehensive teacher's training certifications from Body Art and Science International in January 2009;
Brittany Worlinsky — Brittany is certified in the Classical style of Pilates from the Pilates Technique Certification Program with Jill Cassady. Brittany has taken specialized classes using the Pilates chair and reformer. In addition she has participated in workshops on lower body injuries, Pilates mat, and the power of touch;
Lee McCarthy — Lee, a pilates instructor for 30 years. As a former gymnast and dancer, Lee recognized the many benefits of the pilates method. She has studied with Ron Fletcher and worked extensively in movement rehab. Lee's influences include master instructors such as Eva Nemeth, Ron Fletcher, Julie Horvath, and Finis Jhung Ballet;
Lucia Gervay — Lucia is a native of Brazil, where she had been working for many years as a Director and Coordinator of a prestigious health club. There she developed an effective weight loss-program combining Land-Based & Aquatic-Based Training exercises. Lucia is Pilates certified by Equinox and BASI Pilates.

Core Body Studio is a rental facility for professional Pilates and Gyrotonic instructors. Our instructors offer body work that is based on core strength, flexibility, balance, posture, muscle tone, range of motion and the integration of mind and body. The studio offers a calm and peaceful place to work on your body. Our instructors offer group, private and semi-private session’s price varies with each instructor.

Based on the persons physical level the pilates’ system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty, from beginner to advanced. Over time, the intensity of the workout can be increased to continue to strengthen the body.

Instruction in traditional Iaido, Japanese swordsmanship, is by Ken Watanabe, Iaido 6th Dan.
We do not teach movie-style or improvised sword-play. We offer classical training in Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido, Toyama Ryu and traditional style Aikido kumitachi.

Nishio Sensei developed a new form of Iaido called Aikido Toho Iai which illuminates the deep relationship between the katana (Japanese sword) and techniques in Aikido. Aiki Toho Iai continues to evolve in the hands of Nishio’s successor, Koji Yoshida, who continues to focus on this methods which is thoroughly rooted in the traditional use of the katana. For example, Nishio’s sword work is otonashi or silent, meaning the contact between blades minimal and movements are done in the gaps of the opponents attack.
