Pilates+DTLA now offers Indoor Cycling as a companion to the LAGREE/Systeme Dynamique™ program. Our instructors specialize in catering to each person’s needs and keeping workouts fun in a nurturing environment.

Pilates+DTLA combines SPX fitness and indoor cycling to offer you a complete fitness program in the sanctuary of a small group setting.

Classes:

  • Pilates — group class using the Proformer™ or Megaformer. Each students gets their own reformer style machine. Full body workout by incorporating the key principles of Pilates (correct postural alignment, breathing practice, centering and engaging the core, concentration and precision of controlled movement and increased flexibility) and blending them with muscle dynamics for a high intensity workout.
  • Pilates Form & Technique — Pilates group class using the Proformer™ or Megaformer. Ideal for beginners or experienced students looking to perfect technique. Each students gets their own reformer style machine. The class is designed to teach you the fundamentals of Pilates (language, movements, breathing and body alignment).
  • Pilates + Rev Cycle — Pilates Plus group class using the Proformer™ with integrated Indoor Cycling training workouts. Burn calories and burn fat — get the best of both worlds and the most for your effort with this winning combination: calorie-burning cardio along with Pilates-based toning. For faster results than Pilates or just cardio alone, this combo workout can help you sculpt your body and burn fat! For all fitness levels — students are encouraged to workout at their own pace. Each workshop ends with a deep-stretch session to help increase flexibility and range of motion, for developing long-lean muscles.

Instructors:

  • Jenny — Certified Lagree Fitness Instructor;
  • Judy — She has spent 13 years as a dedicated Pilates Plus enthusiast, 15 years practicing yoga, 11 years participating in marathons, and over 20 years researching Fitness/Wellness programs;
  • Juliet — She is certified in the following: TRX Group Training, TRX Advanced Sports Medicine, Spin (Real Ryder, Kaiser), Pilates (not your mom's pilates), has taken several courses on Nutrition and continues to take every opportunity to learn for herself and her community. In 2013, she has had the opportunity to partner with Physical and Occupational Therapists throughout Southern California to assist in the development of a transitional fitness/rehabilitative post surgery program;
  • Lisa — She is a Mad Dogg certified Spinning instructor;
  • Paola — As a Lagree Fitness Instructor, NCSF Personal Trainer and Sport Nutritionist, and National Level Bikini Physique Competitor;
  • Rocio — She is certified in Classical Pilates, Progressive Pilates and Lagree Fitness (aka Pilates Plus). Rocio is also a certified Personal Trainer & in Group Fitness (NASM & AFAA). In addition to that, she lectures at the department of Kinesiology and Nutritional Science at CSULA and has a BA in Dance from CSULB. She was a performing cast-member of Cirque Du Soleil as well as a Flamenco Dancer for 27 years (& Flamenco Instructor for 20 years);
  • Trang — A California native Trang has always been active with dancing, running, weight training, and Bikram yoga.

  • Insanity Kickboxing — Fast high energy jabs, knees, elbows, and kicks to get you dripping in sweat. This high intensity class and uses techniques from our Mixed Martial Arts programming incorporating Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Thai Pad Work. All fitness levels are welcome (50-60 min);
  • L1/L2 Champion Kickboxing System — Earn your Black Belt in this Muay Thai Kickboxing system! This class focuses on striking, footwork and counter techniques used by World Champions. Attendance is important if you want to advance and earn your belts in this system. All experience levels are welcome (60 min);
  • Core Kickboxing — Fast high energy jabs, knees, elbows, and kicks to get you dripping in sweat. This high intensity class and uses techniques from our Mixed Martial Arts programming incorporating Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Thai Pad Work. This class has an added 15 minutes of extreme ab workout that not only battles the bulge but strengthens your abdominals, back muscles and hip flexors. All fitness levels are welcome (55 min);

  • L1/L2 Kickboxing Technique and Timing — This class is great for both beginners and advanced. This discipline utilizes strikes, kicks, elbows and knees. Advanced students work on timing and sparring techniques. Suitable for all Fitness Levels. (55 min);
  • L1 Kickboxing Bagwork — This class is your first introduction to Muay Thai. This discipline utilizes strikes, kicks, elbows and knees. Suitable for all Fitness Levels. (55 min);
  • L2 Kickboxing — Advanced Kickboxing/Muay Thai. This discipline utilizes strikes, kicks, elbows and knees. Some sparring included (optional) Full gear required (55 min);

  • L2 Boxing Technique — This is an advanced boxing class with light sparring also called “timing.” Full gear required. (55 min);

  • Acro Yoga — In this class, you will get practice as both the “base” and “flyer” to master therapeutic and acrobatic poses in tandem with a partner;
  • Vinyasa Yoga — A breath-led Vinyasa flow, focusing on strength, flexibility and alignment;
  • Hatha Yoga — This Classical Hatha class is centered around a sequence from the Sri Sivananda lineage of yoga, which features pranayama (breathing exercises), asana (postures), bandha (energy locks), and meditation;
  • Anusara Yoga — This Yoga-for-Climbers Anusara flow will provide a new sequence of poses each week that will help strengthen the body in areas that demand attention while climbing.

Instructors:

  • Sam — Sam has been practicing yoga for 12 years, teaching since 2010, and has 2 teacher trainings under her belt;
  • Jeannie — Jeannie completed her 200 hr RYT certification at The White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara with Ganga White and Tracey Rich;
  • Jasmin — Jasmin has been doing Yoga for 7 years and teaching Yoga techniques for 6. She did her first 200hr teacher training with Yoga to the People in New York City, cementing her love for Power Vinyasa and Traditional Hot Yoga. She completed another 200hr training with Srivatsa Ramaswami in Krisnamacarya’s Vinyasa Krama lineage in 20014, and is currently a student in Loyola Marymount University’s Masters in Yoga Studies program.
  • Casey — ERYT 200 and RYT 500 Yoga Alliance certifications under the tutelage of Sigrid Matthews, Noah Maze, and Matt Schwartz. Along the way, she discovered AcroYoga and Thai massage in 2012, which blew the lid off of her already delighted mind, body, and spirit. She dove deeper, garnering both Level 1 and 2 certifions from AcroYoga.org, and taking multiple Thai Massage trainings;
  • Sonia — Since 2007, Yoga and AcroYoga have shaped Her life in many ways;
  • Allen — Allen is a certified AcroYoga Fit Instructor from Shadow Hills CA;
  • Audrey — Audrey did her 200hr teacher training in Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda, she started teaching right away and went back for her 300hr in Vinyasa Flow a few years later. She then branched off and is also a certified Yoga Tune-Up, Yin Yoga, Kids Yoga, Sculptworks teacher, Spinning Instructor and AcroYogaFit trainer;
