We are a hybrid gym offering Muay Thai Kickboxing, kettlebells, circuit training, functional strength and conditioning, weight loss and nutrition. Our goal is to help clients take charge of their lives by achieving physical goals, learning a healthier way to live and being a part of a positive, supportive community.

Programs:

Strength Foundations

Barbell and Kettlebell:

  1. Proper warm up 10 mins;
  2. Skill work: mostly with kettlebells 10 mins;
  3. Strength: Barbell lift 15-20 mins;
  4. Accessory/body weight resistance training 10 mins (sometimes included in program);
  5. Conditioning: kettlebell and body weight complexes 10-15 mins;
  6. Stretch/Cool down 5 mins.

Fighter Fit:

  1. Warm up 10 mins;
  2. Lower-body resistance training strength sets 10 mins — kettlebell or body weight;
  3. Upper-body resistance training strength sets 10 mins — kettlebell or body weight;
  4. Circuit training using full body metabolic conditioning, core stabilization, aerobic training, power training, resistance training and bodyweight training. 20 mins;
  5. Finisher/Stretch/Cooldown — 5-10 mins.

Classes:

  • HIIT — High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is an enhanced form of interval training, an exercise strategy alternating periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. HIIT is a form of cardiovascular exercise. Usual HIIT sessions vary from 4–30 minutes. These short, intense workouts provide improved athletic capacity and condition, glucose metabolism, and fat burning;
  • Crushin Core — You want power, strength, a lean body, and that six pack? Crushin’ CORE Movement focuses on building your core, enhancing your balance and stability, and strengthening your entire body. This workout is a short 30 min. strengthening experience that requires persistence, endurance, and the willingness to work in overdrive.

Rachel — She is a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance. Rachel's style of Yoga integrates asana (postures) and pranayama (breath-work) with her background in dance and pilates.

Program:

Yoga 101 — A mix of fast paced yoga with endurance building postures. All levels are welcomed and a yoga background is not necessary.

  • Jose Molina — Jose is a personal trainer at The Boxing District. He was introduced to boxing as a teen and has been in the boxing world for 20 years;
  • Art Jimmerson — He is a trainer at The Boxing District. Art’s style of personal training is focused on teaching technique at the most basic level and building his clients skill level.

Classes:

  • Boxing 101 — It all begins here; boxing is a great workout that requires speed, agility, finesse, power, endurance, and mental toughness. Boxing 101 is a class that will teach you the proper boxing stance, footwork basics and punches. Everything you need to "hit and not be hit";
  • Boxardio — This class will teach the fundamentals of boxing and provide a total workout all in one. "Boxardio" is a one hour group class which includes cardio, core strength and circuit training.

We offer our free Intro class three days a week for your convenience. An Intro class is required, even if you’ve previously done CrossFit. During the class, we’ll go over CrossFit basics and get you going on your first Workout of the Day (WOD).

Programs:

  • CrossFit is a comprehensive fitness program that focuses on ten facets of conditioning: cardiovascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination agility, balance and accuracy. The workouts vary daily, called a WOD, or workout of the day, and utilize bodyweight exercises, Olympic-style weight lifting, plyometrics, kettle bells, strength training and cardio;
  • Power Training classes focus on the development of muscle through a combination of power-lifting and body-building exercises. Our power training classes have been specifically programmed to promote development in all major muscle groups, with focuses on the lower body, core and upper body;

Pilates Classes:

  • Basics — this class is perfect for the beginner in need of understanding the classical principles of Pilates movement, alignment and breathing. Even for the advanced student it is always beneficial to revisit the basics periodically for a refresher course;
  • Boot Camp Pilates — challenging, outrageously fun and dynamic for those who want to sweat and take their stamina and endurance to another level. Weights and various props are used and adjusted to clients individual needs;
  • Lean & Mean — this high energy class highlights fitness, form and fun. The time spent in this class will focus on challenging and improving your core muscle strength, alignment and endurance. The result will be a sculpting of all the long muscle groups and supporting postural muscles;
  • Pilates & Stretch — designed to balance strength and alignment while also incorporating various stretching techniques. This class will deliver high intensity core conditioning with classical Pilates work while targeting all postural muscle groups;
  • The Real Routine — Intermediate and Advanced students focus on dedication to proper alignment, breathing, rhythm and transitions of the work. This class will challenge and improve your core muscle strength, alignment and endurance. Magic circles, jumping boards, therabands and other props are often incorporated;
  • Cardio Pilates — this class maintains correct Pilates form and foundational movements to keep your core muscle groups challenged and engaged throughout the hour long class;
  • Pilates and Stretch/Contraction — this class while utilizing many Pilates movements also has a strong focus in elongating the principle muscle groups and restoring symmetrical movement to our joints.

Instructors:

  • Leda Lum — Leda has been studying movement, dance, and various forms of therapy for over ten years. She has taught Pilates in chiropractic offices, physical therapy clinics and Pilates studios since being certified in 2000;
  • Donna Otten — She started her career as a portrait photographer, graduating with a degree in Photography and working and mentoring with some of the worlds most accomplished photographers. In 2012 she decided to embrace Pilates by training to become a certified teacher;
  • Stephanie Spanski — She spent the last 13 years working as a professional dancer and teacher. Notable performances include the Grammys and DWTS. While traveling and touring the past 6 years she credits Pilates as her saving grace in keeping her body and mind in shape and injury free. Fresh off touring and wanting to discover a deeper understanding for Pilates, she looked to master teacher/ trainer Maria Leone and Balanced Body University for her Pilates education;
  • Ava Comissiong — she trained in ballet, and went on to study at the prestigious Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre in New York and dance professionally. Certified through the Body Arts and Science Institute;
  • Tatiana Pogoroleva — PMA-Certified, USREPS-Recognized Pilates Teacher;
  • Kamela Smith — Growing up dancing ballet, lyrical jazz, and modern and pursuing it professionally has given her a strong foundation in the way that the body functions and moves. Kamela was certified as a pilates instructor in 2007 through Pilates Technique certification program, and has been instructing ever since.
