Classes:

  • Children (ages 4-5) — сhildren’s programm (for ages 4-5) focuses on developing coordination, concentration, and cooperation through basic aikido exercises, techniques, and games. Classes are limited to 8 students;
  • Teenage (ages 10-15) — teenage students train in our adult program. In addition to developing self-defense skills, youth classes focus on developing coordination, motor skills, cooperation, and self-awareness through aikido techniques, games, and exercises;
  • Youth (ages 6-12) — all youth classes are taught by our head instructor, Josh Paul Sensei. Paul Sensei has extensive experience working with children, including those with behavioral issues, and developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities.
  • Adult (ages 16 and up) — adult classes begin with stretching and warm-up exercises that improve balance, coordination, and body awareness. This is followed by rolling and falling practice, and technique practice with a partner. During this part of class, participants learn the roles of attacker and defender, and develop martial and communication skills, as well as fitness.
