Our Kung Fu program is based on a combination of one-on-one and group training with plenty of personal attention. We begin our curriculum by teaching martial arts basics and their self-defense applications.

Every Youth Class includes:

All new students will be placed on a six-month probation period and must demonstrate their diligence during those first six months of training before offically being accepted. Proper attitude, diligent effort, and good attendance is a requirement in order to be accepted and remain a student.

The classes are conducted in both a formal and non-formal style, whereby the students are given directed instruction for large segments of each session, as well as time allowed for personal training at one's own pace. This can involve solo training, such as working on forms or individual skills and working with a partner on specific drills to enhance overall skills and attributes.

Programs:

  • Civilian Instructor Course (CIC) — This program offers the most advanced curriculum of up-to-date techniques and tested implementations. The course has 2 parts: The 1st part covers P1 through P3 material, which includes the history of Krav Maga and its evolution, fundamental instructional skills and lesson development. The 2nd part progresses to P4 and P5 of the curriculum. This includes lesson construction, safety protocols, vulnerable points of the body, extensive attack principals, and advanced defensive skills;
  • Counter Terror — Each workshop is a uniquely tailored scenario incorporating Krav Maga military tactics, techniques, and strategies that are used in the Israeli Special Forces to combat or prevent terrorism. Each workshop is taught by Expert Krav Maga instructors from Israel with combat and training backgrounds in Counter Terror and Military Krav Maga. The Krav Maga Experts Counter Terror workshops incorporate simulated violence, using audio and practical effects;
  • Rape Prevention — This workshop series will focus on self-defense situations at different settings (home, street, college campuses, etc.). Each workshop takes different scenarios as the Krav Maga Experts instructors teach you Krav Maga self-defense techniques that will help you be your defense;
  • Security — The course is designed to provide theoretical, practical and operational skills required to maintain a high level of security. The Krav Maga Experts security courses include a number of main subjects: Hand-to-Hand Combat (Krav Maga), Lectures, Tactical Drills;
  • Law Enforcement — The courses are designed for law enforcement units, special forces and security operatives. The Krav Maga Experts combat training courses include intensive tactical training, which combines realistic scenarios and on-scene solutions to varied situations.   • Mike Dewar (CSCS, USAW1, USAW2) — He holds a Masters and Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology, with additional experience working with athletic populations. Additionally, Mike is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Advanced Sports Performance Coach of USA Weightlifting, and Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at New York University. Mike is actively competing in USA Weightlifting meets as an 85 and 94kg weightlifter;
  • Nick De Freitas (BS, CSCS, USAW1) — He holds a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, with previous work experience under Cornell University, and Ithaca College. Nick is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Sports Performance Coach of USA Weightlifting, and Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at New York University. Nick currently competes as a 77kg weightlifter under the USA Weightlifting organization.

All of our training drills and tactics come directly from Arsenal FC. Training methods used by the 1st team at Colney and the youth Academy at Hale End are replicated through our customized coach's curriculum, and represent the latest findings in the technical, tactical and psychological aspects of the game and individual player development.

Academy players train a minimum of three times a week and play a maximum of two games incorporating both EDP league and tournament play. In addition, select teams travel to London each year to compete against local opposition, and for exclusive visits to Arsenal FC facilities.

Developmental Program

Participation in our programming follows the major player development pathways for all youth soccer players. We build for each player’s future by offering: academy travel teams, developmental programs, skills classes, clinics and camps:

  • Residential Camp — Open to boys and girls ages 10-16, Arsenal Soccer Schools Elite Residential Camps offer young field players and keepers of all talent levels the opportunity to work with youth coaches from one of the elite English and European clubs;
  • Day Camps — Open to boys and girls ages 5-16, Arsenal Soccer Schools Day Camps offer young field players and keepers of all talents levels the opportunity to work with youth coaches from one of the elite English and European clubs;
  • Clinics — This program focuses on the introduction and ball mastery of skill in a fun learning environment. This is achieved through maximum ball contacts, expert coaching, skills challenges and homework assignments.
