Dribbl is a New York-based instructional and recreational basketball program for kids ages 3-14.

Programs:

  • Pre-K & K — 50-minute sessions get kids comfortable on the court with a ball in their hands. PE-style games and pop music keep 'em moving and having a great time while they learn the basics;

At New Amsterdam Fencing Academy (NAFA), we stress the four complimentary elements in training a fencer: Group work (footwork and conditioning), individual lessons, practice bouting, and competitions.

NAFA offers classes for children of all ages. We also organize fencing birthday parties, school programs, and camps.

Weekly group fencing classes are the core of our program.  The group format fosters cohesion among club members, teaches good sportsmanship, and helps develop key social skills.

Programs:

  • Junior — program for students ages 13 to 18 up offers a two-hour class integrating intricate footwork, advanced weapon control, strategy and tactics, as well as the long-term self-discipline key to navigating a successful adolescence;
  • Youth — fencers aged 9 to 12 are ready to commit to an hour (Beginner) or two-hour long (Advanced) group class emphasizing the technical and the tactical aspects of the sport;
  • FIT Kids (Fencers In Training) — 6 to 8 year old beginning swordsmen engage in an hour-long class that uses the building blocks of competitive fencing to emphasize the importance of working together. First through third graders engage in games and exercises that focus on the development of hand-eye coordination, general fitness, and body movement. Instructors:

  • Achiko Lortkipanidze (Olympian and Lead Coach) — Coach Achiko represented The Republic of Georgia in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. He also won the Soviet Union Championships and earned a spot as a World Cup finalist. Achiko has since coached in both his home country and in the United States. His students have achieved significant results at both the national and international level, including a silver medal at the 2012 Cadet World Cup and multiple medals at 2012 North American Cups (NACs) and Junior Olympics;
  • Samir Mahmoud El-Bakry (Lead Coach) — Coach Samir was a Member of the Egyptian National team from 1996 until 2012 and is an experienced coach with an international coaching diploma from the FIE (Federation International Escrime). Samir's students include 2016 Junior World Champion medalist Mohamed Amer and 2017 Cadet Summer National Medalist Aksel Fernandes;
  • Bartek Florczak (Lead Coach) — Bartek is a Polish certified coach with 14 years of coaching experience in fencing;
  • Luka Oboladze (Coach) — Luka fenced for Georgian national team from 2010-2015. In 2012, he helped his country's U-23 team win a gold medal in the European Cup and helped his team to a bronze medal at the European Championships.

  • Musketeers (ages 4-6) — Includes: Unlimited Classes/month (4 classes offered per week), 4 Private Lessons/month (20 minutes each), No Equipment Purchase Required (students use plastic sabers and masks provided by the Club);
