Programs:

  • Youth Program (ages 8-11) — 60 minute sessions (running technique, athletic coordination, balance, relative strength;
  • AcceleratedProgram (ages 12-14) — 60 minute of movement training (acceleration, maximum velocity, change of direction) & 60 minutes of formal strength and power training (olympic lifting technique, strength training, sports specific supplementary exercises);
  • Competitive Program (ages 15+) — 60 minutes of movement training (acceleration, maximum velocity, change of direction, athletic skill training) & 60 minutes of formal strength and power training (training focus increases with moderate and heavy loads to optimize power output);
  • Adult Programs.

Coaches:

  • Angie Beis — NASM Certified, IFPA nutrition and Personal Trainer. Angie holds a Master’s in Exercise Physiology from Columbia University as well as a Bachelor’s in Physical Education from Hunter College;
  • Andre Brinson — He holds a B.S. in Neuropsychology from Syracuse University as well as CSCS, USAW, NASM, and USATF certifications. He was a four year member of the inter-collegiate football (CB/PR) and track team and played in three bowl games, received a Big East Honorable Mention in football. Andre is a two-time Florida State Track and Field Champion, Penn Relays participant and played in the Florida-Georgia All-Star Game;
  • Jachin Brown — Jachin attended Hunter College, where he studied Health Science. He has been training athletes since 2005. Jachin has also served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the collegiate level, working with teams from both NYU and ASA College. He boasts a black belt in Judo, Ju-Jutsu and Tae Kwon Do. Jachin also played semi-professional football for the New York Bandits and held the esteemed title of First Captain of the Harlem Hellfighters Football Team;
  • Max Castrogaleas — Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator under the NSCA. ACSM-HFS, USATF Level 1. A former US Marine Corps Sergeant and Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor. After serving two tours as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, he graduated Cum Laude from Queens College with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science with a Minor in Psychology;
  • Gary Kuang — Gary holds a Bachelors Degree in exercise science from the University of Buffalo as well as a Level 1 USAW certification. Gary has a background in baseball, basketball, and track and field. He is currently studying for his CSCS and USATF certifications;
  • Gabriel Sanchez — NSCA CSCS and CPT.

In addition, Dan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), earned a PRC from the Postural Restoration Institute, and is a Functional Range Conditioning FRCms, Functional Movement Screen Specialist (FMS), and Kinstretch Instructor.

Instructor — Ross Curtis. He is a Senior Staff Coach and Weightlifting Program Director.

Ross holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, both of which were earned at University of Northern Iowa. Ross is not only an accomplished athlete in weightlifting (Olympic Lifts), track and field, and football — but also a highly qualified coach, holding Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USA Weightlifting (USAW) and Clinical Athlete Weightlifting Coach (CWC) certifications, and has further earned a PRC from the Postural Restoration Institute.
